Why schedule Facebook posts instead of posting live?

A Facebook Page works best with a steady rhythm: regular posts that answer customers' questions, show what's new and point people to bookings or products. Posting by hand means remembering, finding the photo, rewriting the caption and doing it at the right moment, every time.

Scheduling moves that work into one planning session. You write a week or a month of posts when you have time to think, and Sociocrush publishes each one to your Page at the time you set — so a busy day doesn't break your rhythm.

Text, link and photo posts — published to your Page automatically

Sociocrush publishes through Meta's official Pages API, the same route Facebook provides for scheduling tools (Meta's Pages API documentation (opens in a new tab)). You choose the Page, write the post, add photos or a link, and pick a date and time. At that time Sociocrush publishes it for you; you don't need to be online.

A Facebook post can carry a link preview or photos, not both — that's how Facebook builds link posts. Sociocrush checks this before you schedule, along with photo formats and sizes, so a post doesn't fail at publishing time.

  • Write once in the composer and see a live preview before scheduling.
  • Add alt text to photos so people using screen readers know what they show.
  • Reschedule by dragging a post to another day on the calendar.

Add a first comment to every post

Many Pages keep the post itself clean and put the link, the booking details or extra hashtags in the first comment. In Sociocrush you write that comment alongside the post, and it's published from your Page right after the post goes live.

Because comments need a separate Facebook permission, Sociocrush tells you if a connected Page is missing it and asks you to reconnect, rather than failing silently.

Write Facebook captions faster with AI that knows your business

Sociocrush's AI Studio drafts captions for the channel you pick, with optional hashtags, and can use your Brand Brain — the business details, audience and tone Sociocrush learns during onboarding — so drafts start close to how you actually speak. It can also generate images for posts that don't have a photo yet.

If you're planning further ahead, the AI Content Planner brainstorms post ideas from a short prompt and turns the ones you like into draft posts. Every draft stays editable: check the facts, adjust the tone, then schedule.

Approvals for teams and agencies managing several Pages

If you manage Pages for clients or with colleagues, Sociocrush lets each brand have its own workspace area, team roles (admin, manager, member and client) and a post approval step, so nothing goes live on a client's Page without the right sign-off. Team collaboration and approvals are part of the Growth and Scale plans.

Keep track of what's published

Each post's status — scheduled, publishing, published or failed — is shown on the calendar, so you can see at a glance what went out and what needs attention. If you delete a published post in Sociocrush, you can choose to remove it from your Facebook Page as well.

Sociocrush also records your Page's follower count over time, so your dashboard shows followers gained. Detailed Facebook Page insights such as reach and engagement aren't shown in Sociocrush yet.

How Facebook scheduling works in Sociocrush

  1. Connect your Facebook Pages

Sign in with Facebook and choose the Pages you manage. Each Page becomes a channel you can post to.

  2. Plan and write

Draft posts in the composer, or turn AI Content Planner ideas into drafts. Add photos or a link, alt text and a first comment.

  3. Review and schedule

Send posts for approval if your team uses it, then schedule them on the calendar. Drag to reschedule anytime before they publish.

  4. Publish and follow up

Sociocrush publishes each post at its scheduled time and marks it published on the calendar. Follower growth appears on your dashboard.

Who uses Sociocrush for Facebook

Local businesses

Keep opening hours, offers and events in front of nearby customers without posting every morning.

Social media managers

Plan a month of Page posts in one sitting and spend the rest of the week on replies and results.

Agencies and freelancers

Separate brands, client roles and approvals keep each client's Pages and sign-offs apart.

Plan Facebook alongside Instagram and Pinterest

Your Facebook posts sit on the same calendar as your Instagram posts and Reels and your Pinterest Pins, so you can see a whole campaign at once. When you create a post for several channels, Sociocrush shows each platform's preview and checks each one's rules — a link post for Facebook, for example, while Instagram gets the photo.

Facebook scheduling FAQs

Can I schedule Facebook posts with Sociocrush?

Yes. You can schedule text, link, single-photo and multi-photo posts to Facebook Pages you manage, and Sociocrush publishes them automatically at the time you choose.

Can I schedule posts to a personal Facebook profile or a Group?

No. Sociocrush publishes to Facebook Pages only. Personal profiles and Groups aren't supported.

How do I connect a Facebook Page?

From the Calendar, choose Add Channel, then Facebook, and sign in with the Facebook account that manages the Page. Select the Pages you want; each one appears as a separate channel.

Can I schedule Facebook videos or Reels?

Yes. You can schedule videos and Reels to your Facebook Pages alongside text, link and photo posts, and Sociocrush publishes them at the time you choose.

Can a Facebook post have both a link and photos?

No — Facebook shows a link preview only on posts without photos. Choose one: a link post with its preview, or photos with the link in the caption or first comment.

Can Sociocrush post a first comment on Facebook?

Yes. Add the comment when you create the post and Sociocrush publishes it from your Page right after the post goes live.

Can my client approve Facebook posts before they publish?

Yes, on plans with team collaboration (Growth and Scale). Invite the client with the client role and use post approvals so posts publish only after sign-off.
